So many memories, so many binders, traveler’s notebooks, and AWESOME STUFF!! What does a girl do?! Well I was so inspired by Jennifer Evans of @CreateOften and her beautiful Heidi Swapp memory planner that she posted on her Instagram on August 18, 2016 that I had to dust mine off and start recording my everyday memories. Want to see what I did on August 28, 2016? Keep reading.
It was a Sunday morning and we decided that we would take the kids to the beach and have some fun before the school year started. My family came along with us and enjoyed their time with the kids, playing in the sand, water, walking on the pier, and fishing. Lake Michigan was super cold but it was around 80 degrees that day, so it was a perfect beach day.
I wanted to document the fun memories we had. What went perfect with this theme was Kelly Purkey Shop’s Beach Day stamp set and the pretty in pink striped card paper (part of the Queen Mini Kit).
So I went ahead and stamped away using StazON
, a very black ink that stamps so well on photo paper and comes out super black. I had so much fun choosing the colors, stamps, and format of this layout. I loved the turnout but most of all, the memories that I have of that day.
Hello and welcome back!
How do you organize your month at a glance? Do you decorate? Do you just fill in the necessary appointments? Do you skip the monthly and strictly use the daily? These are all questions I get asked or have seen asked. Here I will tell you how I use a month at a glance.
My planner is the second book most important to me. It keeps my tasks and life organized. I personally use it as just that.
So here I wrote down my important dates then decorated around it. I love using light colored stamps to decorate because then, if I need to write over it, I can do so and it wouldn’t be hard to read.
The Kelly Purkey Shop stamps I used here were:
Stay Cool-Sprinkles, Triangles, Dots
Under the Weather-Doctor
I also used these products:
Scraptistic Club Washi Stickers
Mommy Lhey Pineapple die cut
What I love about my month at a glance is that I can turn to this page and see what’s happening at a glance. I can see when I am most busy and when I can make more room. All while making it beautiful (most of the time).
Thanks for stopping by today. Be CREATIVE and stay motivated. Have a super day!!
Hello again Friends! I hope you are all well! Another month has gone by and I have another layout to show you. Keeping my planner fun and functional are some ways that keep me motivated to use my planner. But since summer has gotten the best of me, my planner has been (a little bit) neglected. I’m just really enjoying my kids and the summer sun. Who’s with me on that?
Well, what I did for week twenty six was, I used Felicity Jane Chloe paper to add borders and circle punched 7 pieces of light decorative paper. Then I stamped each day of the week on it using my Kelly Purkey My Day stamp set. I used black and white striped washi stickers from Felicity Jane and Scraptastic Club stickers. Then I added my trusty washi tape to decorate and section off my days. And that was about it.
I love how you can really create and try anything in your planner because it’s all a creative process and most importantly, it’s your style. I hope you enjoyed this my friends. Until next time, happy planning and stamping!
Welcome back my Friends!
At the end of May, my family and I visited Beach Park, IL. I was able to capture some fun memories of my family by the beach. I snapped a photo of them running and enjoying the shoreline. These are my favorite kinds of pictures. I knew I had to print this out and make it a memory. Since this photo was a 5×5, it was too big for one page so I angled it and cut it so the whole picture would fit. I added some alpha stickers from Felicity Jane and used the He Says She Says stamp from Kelly Purkey Shop to add in the date, location, and time. The trick I did here was, I only inked this part because the actual stamp is much larger.
To decorate the page, I used these Kelly Purkey Stamps:
These precious memories-Tribe Set
I want to remember it all-Tribe Set
Heart logo-Tribe Set
I then wrote our memory on the right page. I have always hated my handwriting but I realized that this is what makes a memory special, when you personalize it. When my kids look back at this, they can always have my handwriting to remember me by.
The next page was also fun to make. It was a continuation of Beach Park. I used a picture of our feet in the sand (also one of my favorite kinds of pictures).
To decorate the page, I used these Kelly Purkey Stamps:
Flowers-In Bloom Set
I wrote a blurb on the side and recorded the place on the bottom. I used the Felcity Jane alphas again to finish off the page.
I hope you also find some time to document your precious memories. It’s always a fun process and you get to relive those precious moments again.
I’m sure you have seen the awesome Kelly Purkey April Stamps. Maybe you’ve even purchased a few sets and need a some ideas on how to use them. Well I can help with that. Since creative planning is one of my favorite things to do, I did it again using these awesome stamps.
I created a very simple layout using washi tape, cardstock, Scraptastic Club stickers, and of course, Kelly stamps. I started with the eyelashes from the Megababe Set and “Let’s stay in bed” from the Good Morning Set. I then played around with stickers and did some layering above the stamps. I also used cardstock to make a bottom border. I love how visually appealing borders can be.
I decided to add a stock card from the Good Morning April Kit, rounded the corners, and hole punched it so I could add it to my page. I thought it went great with the “Let’s stay in bed” theme.
Then I added some washi along the left bottom page and used the heart stamp also from the Megababe Set to add some color on that page. And that’s it. A little can go a long way with stamps. I hope you enjoyed my process.
Happy Planning and Stamping!
I just want to take this time to thank all of my Sponsors who made my workshop at Southeast PlannerCon possible. It was your generosity and awesome products that helped make this day one to remember.

Thanks again for sharing your products with my attendees and with me. My “Let’s Create” workshop was a success!
Have you ever wanted to start a project and just kept holding if off? Or started and never going back to it again? For the longest time I wanted to start Project Life. I was so sure I was going to. I purchased the kits that I loved and had millions of pictures to use. But as much as I LOVE the idea of scrapbooking, I get overwhelmed by the big layouts. I had to do something with my pictures. I knew I had to document my pictures and memories somehow.
So I had my traveler type notebooks just sitting empty on my shelf and I thought I would start using them to document my life. The ones I am starting with are the Michael’s Recollections brand inserts. They are small, portable, and at 8 inches high and 4.5 inches wide, they are perfect and not so overwhelming.
Since I am part of the Kelly Purkey Creative Team I was given the March stamp sets including the Spring Break set designed by Christine Herrin.
So what you see here is the first layout of my documented life page. Since my family and I traveled to Minnesota for some shopping, a convention, and just to get away, I took pictures as I always do.
I had a great idea that came to mind. I wanted to cut out the State of Minnesota and Wisconsin as the focal points of my page. I googled the states, hand drew them in pencil and cut them out.
I took out the “My Favorite Escape” stock card from the Spring Break set and layered the states on top of it. I also cut out a small red stock card and placed it above Minnesota. I used my circle punch to cut out “vacation mode” from one of the small stock cards. I layered some cardstock under that, decorated with washi tape, date stamped the bottom of the page and moved onto stamping using the road trip stamp. Since the state of Minnesota stands out, I wanted to use the alpha letters from the Mulberry set to make it the focal point. I added the gimme a break stamp between the states and called it good.
One thing you can do when using acrylic stamps is you can cut them and use the parts you need. In this case I just inked “click” and left out the camera. Then stamped inside the box.
I hope I was able to give you some ideas or inspired you to start documenting your life.
Thanks for stopping by and if you haven’t already ordered these fun stamps you can do so here.
